Committed to Change
As a political party, PDP Laban is committed to moving toward “issue-based” politics to bring about meaningful change in the country as against the “personality-based” politics that have reduced many Philippine political parties to irrelevancy.
The party also believes that advancement of peace and order, and decentralization are the best ways for the country to achieve an equitable economy, better livelihood, sustainable progress, and lasting peace for all regions in the country.

In the Party Creed, PDP Laban also seeks a peaceful and democratic way of life characterized by freedom, solidarity, justice, equity, social responsibility, self-reliance, efficiency and enlightened nationalism. Thus, the party and its members continue to follow its five guiding principles of Theism, Authentic humanism, Enlightened nationalism, Shared prosperity, and Consultative and participatory democracy.
The party also supports the strengthening of the country’s electoral system as this can help increase the trust of voters towards it, resulting in more voters taking part during national, midterm, local and youth polls.
During elections, the party intensifies the awareness among all Filipinos, not only the electorate, on the social, political, cultural, economic, but also on global issues that can affect the country’s path to genuine progress. Through this, Filipino voters will be more enlightened on the candidates they will vote for in public office.
