PHILIP SALVADOR

 

 

Philip “Ipe” Salvador is among the very loyal followers of former President Rodrigo Roa Duterte, and remains one of the most visible stalwarts of PDP Laban.

Prior to joining politics, Salvador established a lasting legacy in the Philippine film industry and began his career in 1971 with the movie “Adios Mi Amor.”

In 1979, he starred in Jaguar, which became the first Filipino film to be entered into competition at the Cannes Film Festival. And in 1985, his role in “Bayan Ko: Kapit sa Patalim” (1985), won him the first of his three FAMAS Best Actor awards.

His acting career stretched to 2008, with a supporting role in “Baler.”

Known for his fiery delivery of speeches, Salvador vows to fight for the betterment of the welfare of the common “tao” and the eradication of corruption.
