ERIC MARTINEZ

Eric Martinez is the Representative of Valenzuela’s Second District in the House of Representatives since 2016. He was also the House Deputy Speaker for the 18th Congress from 2020 to 2022. 

Prior to getting elected to the House, Rep. Eric Martinez served as Vice Mayor of Valenzuela City from 2007 to 2016; City Councilor, 2nd District, Valenzuela City from 2001 to 2007; Councilor, Sangguniang Baranggay, Marulas, Valenzuela City from 1997 to 2001; and Councilor, Sangguniang Kabataan, Marulas, Valenzuela City from 1993 to 1997. 

He was also the Public Relations Officer of the Vice-Mayors League of the Philippines, and member of the National Movement for Young Legislators (NMYL). 

Rep. Eric Martinez’s other stints are: Music Teacher, St. Patrick School from 1997 to 1998; member, Rotary Club of Metro Valenzuela; member, Lions Club of Valenzuela; Board of Director, Philippine National Red Cross (Valenzuela Chapter); member, Rotaract Club of Metro Valenzuela; and Public Relations Officer, Junior Chamber of Business Administration, UST from 1993 to 1997. 

His civic society engagements include President, Liturgy of Music of National Shrine of Our lady of Fatima (1995); and member, Parish Commission on Youth - National Shrine of Our Lady of Fatima (1991-2000).
