EDWIN OLIVAREZ

Edwin de Leon Olivarez currently serves as the representative of the First District of Paranaque in the House of Representatives since 2022. He first served as the district’s representative in the House from 2010 to 2013.

Rep. Olivarez also served as Mayor of Paranqaque from 2013 to 2022, and chairman of the Metro Manila Council, the policy making body of the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority. He had a stint as head of the Regional Peace and Order Council–National Capital Region, and board provincial member of Laguna before serving as vice governor of the province from 2004 to 2007,

He is married to Janet Angeles and blessed with three children, among them Pablo II who is incumbent councilor of Parañaque from the 1st district since 2022.
