EDWARD HAGEDORN

Rep. Edward Solon Hagedorn of the Third District of Palawan has firmly established himself as a trusted and proficient public servant during his tenure as the Mayor of Puerto Princesa. His track record as a champion of the environment, tourism, agriculture, and peace and order has earned him the title of “Pambansang Mayor.”  

One of Rep. Hagedorn’s renowned achievements was his unwavering commitment to have the Puerto Princesa Underground River included in UNESCO’s world heritage list, which eventually resulted in the river’s recognition as one of the New Seven Wonders of Nature. Due to his remarkable leadership skills, he was bestowed the honor of being included in the United Nation Global 500 Roll of Honour Award in 1997.  

Moreover, Rep. Hagedorn’s extensive experience as a veteran local executive has endowed him with valuable knowledge and insights that have proved instrumental in promoting his advocacies as a member of the House of Representatives. In his current role, Rep. Hagedorn is actively advocating for the safeguarding and preservation of the West Philippine Sea, as well as pushing for the reclassification of certain barangays’ alienable and disposable lands in Aborlan. Additionally, he is pushing for the conversion of the Salvacion-Sabang Road that leads to the Underground River in Puerto Princesa into a national road, and the establishment of other beneficial programs that will benefit his constituents.
