He ranked third in the 2019 senatorial elections, garnering 20.657 million votes.

At the Senate, Go holds the crucial position of Chair for the Senate Committees on Health and Demography, as well as on Sports. Through these significant roles, he has spearheaded numerous impactful initiatives aimed at enhancing healthcare accessibility and improving the overall quality of life for all Filipinos.

As the Chairperson of the Senate Committee on Health, he was the principal author and sponsor of RA 11463 or the Malasakit Centers Act, which establishes Malasakit Centers in all Department of Health (DOH) hospitals and the Philippine General Hospital (PGH). The Malasakit Center is a one-stop shop where Filipinos can avail of financial and medical assistance from four agencies of the government, namely the DOH, Department of Social Welfare and Development, Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office, and PhilHealth. Currently, there are 158 Malasakit Centers all over the country.

Malasakit Centers have benefited more than 7 million Filipinos nationwide as of January 2023.

He authored RA 11861 into law, which amends RA 8972 or the Solo Parents’ Welfare Act of 2000 to grant additional benefits to solo parents. Some benefits that solo parents now enjoy include additional financial assistance for those earning minimum wage and below; 10 percent discount on basic necessities such as food and micronutrient supplements, diapers, and duly prescribed medicines for solo parents earning less than P250,000 annually; and prioritization of housing and livelihood programs by the government.

As Chair of the Senate Committee on Sports, Sen. Go also authored and co-sponsored RA 11470 or the National Academy of Sports (NAS).
