ALEXANDER PIMENTEL

Gov. Alexander T. Pimentel of Surigao del Sur earned his Bachelor of Arts major in Economics degree from the Colegio de San Juan de Letran–Manila. He started his political career as ABC President and at the same time Sangguniang Panlalawigan member in 1997. 

He served as Vice Mayor of Tandag from 1998 to 2004. He was then elected as Mayor of Tandag from 2007 to 2013 and served as City Administrator of Tandag from 2013 to 2016.  

In the May 2019 elections, he was elected Governor of Surigao del Sur and reelected in the succeeding 2022 polls. 

Gov. Pimentel is a reservist of the Philippine Army with the rank of Lieutenant Colonel, and also the incumbent Chairperson of the Caraga Regional Peace and Order Council.
